The original A-side release was going to be a re-cut version from the 'Zip Gun' album but this was withdrawn prior to release and replaced with the same edited version of the 12" special mix.
The original was made available from the Fan Club only and can be identified by the Matrix No. S BOLAN 14 A engraved in the run-off groves as opposed to S BOLAN PD A on the official release.
