Mercury Records Mono 1963 Soundtrack
Pianist Erroll Garner was at the height of his popularity when he recorded this now-out-of-print LP. Backed by a small string section, brass and woodwinds arranged by Leith Stevens, Garner performs ten songs that were used in the film A New Kind of Love, including five of his own compositions and the standards "You Brought a New Kind of Love to Me" and "Louise." Garner plays as well as usual, and this was his debut as a composer for motion picture music making the set highly recommended to the pianist's most devoted fans.
