For those of you not in the know, Dublex Inc is one of those groups that Monsieur Stephane Pompougnac regularly features on the esteemed Hotel Costes series. "Eight Ears" is an amazing and ambitious debut that fuses together everything from heavy doses of funk, the blues, latin, house, world and jazz music! This release will undoubtedly go unnoticed, but do yourself a favor and check these guys out for a definite change of pace. Songs of note are the bluey "She'll Stay"...the sassy "Don't Make Me Want You"...the energetic "Slack Society"...the revved up "Tocame"...and the jazzy "Queek!" If you liked these guys contributions on Costes 4 & 5, and their remix of Dolphin Boy's "Don't Stop" on Costes 7, then you'll definitely dig "Eight Ears"!
