Chelsea Records Stereo 1974
Created by club personality and former hairdresser Sir Monti Rock III, this album is probably one of the most bizarre products of the Disco era. As Disco Tex, Rock scored a Top 10 hit with "Get Dancin'" and "I Wanna Dance Wit' Choo" hit the Top 25. Includes five tracks penned (or co-penned) by Kenny Nolan, the songwriter who wrote Frankie Valli's "My Eyes Adored You" and Labelle's "Lady Marmalade," and featured vocalists include Sugarloaf's Jerry Corbetta (remember "Green-Eyed Lady"?) and Freddy ("Palisades Park") Cannon.
