"Colours" -- the title of this album of songs interpreted by and delivered by the French songstress Claudine Longet describes the music as well as the performer artist Herself!
While Claudine's magical mystical whispy vocal style is mesmerizing on all of Her recorded works, THIS album, "COLORS" may be Her finest album of them all.
Of the eleven tracks included, all of them being more than enjoyable, i might single out several: Two Donovan penned songs -- "Catch The Wind" and "Colours" (which Claudine captured the spirit of the songs purrrrfectly!) . . . "For Bobbie (For Baby)" . . . and "Am I Blue".
My personal all-time favorite song on this or on any of Claudine's albums is "I Believed it All (Didn't You?)" -- what a poetic wistful nostalgic reminiscence of childhood and its hopes and fears and dreams! Claudine's magic makes this song seem so much like it could be any of our childhoods being re-presented. The album is worth getting just for this track alone . . . and all the other ten tracks are absolute gold-mine bonuses! :)
Claudine is a beautiful woman . . . making beautiful music . . . singing beautiful songs . . . beautifully!
Thank You Claudine Longet for all the great recordings You have gifted us with . . . and especially for this magical collection of "Colours"
