Jazz Junction Records Recorded May 1964, New YorkFeaturing Phil Urso, Hal Galper, Jymie merritt And Charlie Rice. Despite it's simple title, this was a very important album for Chet Baker. It marked his return to the states after a long stay in Europe that included a stint in an Italian prison. This was the beginning of a brief, but spectacular run of recordings that included Baby Breeze, Baker's Holiday, and the Prestige recordings of 1965. Similar to Baby Breeze, this album has a nice mixture of bop and ballads. Chet's still getting used to his new flugelhorn, but with the help of an excellent band, he shines. Side 1. 1.
