Bandleader, organist, and arranger "Brother" Jack McDuff actually began his career as a bassist playing with Danny Zeitlin and Joe Farrell. McDuff also formed his own band and combos (he's well known for his work in the late '60s with George Benson). "Double Barrelled Soul" also features David Newman on sax and flute.
